This invitation for bids follows the General Procurement Notice for this Project that appeared in Development Business, issue no. 597 of December 30, 2002 and in Narodne novine issue 149 of December 13, 2002.

Hrvatske ceste d.o.o. received a loan from the International Bank for Reconstruction and Development (the World Bank) towards the cost of Rijeka Gateway Project and intends to apply part of the proceeds of this loan to payments under the contract for supply and installation of road equipment on state roads D-404 and D-8 (Orehovica-Sv.Kuzam Section).

Hrvatske ceste d.o.o. now invites sealed bids from eligible bidders for the supply and installation of the following:

1.EQUIPMENT FOR ELECTRIC ENERGY SUPPLY
2.ROADWAY LIGHTING
3.TRAFFIC SIGNALIZATION, ROAD FURNITURE AND VIDEO SURVEILLANCE SYSTEM
4.REMOTE CONTROL SYSTEM
5.TELECOMMUNICATION EQUIPMENT
6.DRAFT FANS AND FIREFIGHTING EQUIPMENT


The equipment shall be offered in packages (lots), as quoted above. Bidders may offer one or more lots, with all items within each lot included in the bid.

Bidding will be conducted through international competitive bidding procedures (ICB) specified in the World Bank’s Guidelines: Procurement under IBRD Loans and IDA Credits (dated January 1995, revised January and August 1996, September 1997, and January 1999), and it is open to all bidders from eligible source countries as defined in the guidelines.

Interested eligible bidders may obtain further information from Hrvatske ceste d.o.o. and inspect the bidding documents at the address given below from 8 AM to 4 PM.

A complete set of bidding documents in English may be purchased by interested bidders on the submission of a written application to the address below and upon payment of a nonrefundable fee of EUR 400 or in HRK equivalent, exchange rate of Croatian National Bank, valid on the date of payment. The method of payment will be direct deposit to account no.70010-978-9182800-836697 (EUR) or account no. 2340009-1100231902 (HRK) at Privredna Banka Zagreb, in favour of Hrvatske ceste d.o.o. Zagreb. The document will be sent by mail.

Bids must be delivered to the address below at or before 12.00 noon on September 19, 2005. All bids must be accompanied by a bid security of:

Lot 1. EQUIPMENT FOR ELECTRIC ENERGY SUPPLY 15.500 €
Lot 2. ROADWAY LIGHTING 65.000 €
Lot 3. TRAFFIC SIGNALIZATION, ROAD FURNITURE AND VIDEO SURVEILLANCE SYSTEM 100.000 €
Lot 4. REMOTE CONTROL SYSTEM 56.000 €
Lot 5. TELECOMMUNICATION EQUIPMENT 15.000 €
Lot 6. DRAFT FANS AND FIREFIGHTING EQUIPMENT 12.000 €


Bid security may be expressed in HRK equivalent to above stated amounts in EUR (€), exchange rate of Croatian National Bank, valid on the date of issue.

Late bids will be rejected. Bids will be opened in the presence of the bidder’s representatives who choose to attend at the address below on September 19, 2005 at 12.00 noon.
